MM6 Maison Margiela and Havaianas debuted their collaboration on the diffusion brand’s fall 2026 runway during Milan Fashion Week, teasing the release of their forthcoming full collection which is set for release in May.

The unexpected duo showcased elevated design variation which played on the number 6 — the numerical motif showed up throughout the collection from the Maison Margiela subbrand.

The familiarity of Havaianas is subverted thanks to MM6 with two unique expressions. The newly unveiled Slim 6Toe is a barefoot-shaped flip-flop silhouette with a sixth digit. This slim design was contrasted by something much more maximalist in shape.

The Top 6Layers was created exclusively for the show and will not be for sale — but it’s a striking sight. The style is created by stacking six Havaianas soles of varying shapes into an intentionally irregular platform, turning one of the brand’s most recognizable elements into a repetitive structure.

The number 6 guides the collaboration’s multiplied design language, nodding to MM6 and offering a new way to reinterpret Havaianas’ classic design cues. The Brazilian flip-flop brand’s familiar design codes were jumping-off points for repetition, alteration and unexpected transformation across the collection.

Havaianas has been exploring unconventional design lately. The new Havaianas Kitten Heel, which debuted during Copenhagen Fashion Week on the Studio Constance spring 2027 runway, features an asymmetric elliptical heel and a cover for the big toe. In terms of collaborations, the brand recently released a collection with KidSuper and earlier dropped a lineup of styles with Isabel Marant.
