Florence Pugh piled on the pleats in a coordinated Rodarte look for the “East of Eden” photo call and Q&A at the British Library in London on Monday.

The Oscar-nominated “Little Women” star wore a look from the American luxury label’s fall 2019 collection — an iridescent pleated blouse and pants. Styled by Rebecca Corbin-Murray, the ensemble featured a milky, opalescent blouse with a layered and tiered capelet collar.

The semi-sheer fabric gave the long-sleeved blouse a glossy, almost futuristic finish. A bevy of pleats continued through the high-waisted palazzo pants, with a bold Rodarte logo belt acting as the hero accessory of the look.

As for accessories, Pugh opted for a pair of Bulgari tubogas earrings, which retail for nearly $9,200. The hoops were crafted with 18-karat yellow gold and set with pavé diamond studs for an added touch of sparkle.

For glam, Pugh turned to stylist Hyungsun Ju for her slicked-back pompadour style. Makeup artist Alex Babsky gave the actress bold brows, lined eyes and a soft lip to complete her look.

The setting was fitting: Kate and Laura Mulleavy debuted Rodarte’s fall 2019 collection in February 2019 at the Huntington Library in San Marino, Calif. Here, Pugh once again brought the look to a library. The collection drew inspiration from several decades of Hollywood musicals.

“Musicals from the ’30s, ’70s and ’80s became the backbone of the season, taking the looks across decades, anchored by Jerry Hall-inspired hair on the models as they floated down the runway in two-piece sequined numbers and shimmering metallic looks,” Kari Hamanaka wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

“Other parts of the collection featured strong shoulders with plenty of volume and tiers of ruffles with the bow print across looks — sometimes exaggerated and in other cases more daintily woven in. That was all set against a palette of lipstick red, brilliant blue, cotton candy pink, black-and-white and floral motifs.”

Pugh stars as Cathy Ames alongside Christopher Abbott and Mike Faist in Zoe Kazan’s seven-episode adaptation of John Steinbeck’s seminal novel “East of Eden,” which tells the intergenerational story of the Trask family. The limited series arrives Oct. 1 on Netflix.
