Yuhan Wang Spring 2027 Ready-to-Wear Runway, Fashion Show & Collection Review

For spring 2027, Yuhan Wang envisioned the bedroom as a battleground between composure and desire, and sent that tension down the runway in a slow, sensual walk that felt almost voyeuristic.

The Chinese designer has long been associated with fragile, uber-romantic femininity, and this time, she dialed up the volume on desire.

Dresses and skirts came spliced with literal knicker and drawers constructions, layers of lace briefs and checked cotton collapsing into single garments that looked “caught somewhere between getting dressed and getting undressed,” as Wang put it backstage.

“There is a particular strangeness to the moments just before sleep. The bedroom is familiar, but in the dark its objects begin to shift. It’s a private space in which a woman can exist beyond the expectations placed upon her. At its heart is the idea that different versions of ourselves can exist at once,” she added.

Objects in the bedroom became an extension of the sexual awakening. Powder compacts, blush cases and tiny mirrors became bags and charms, and empty jewelry settings were repurposed as belts and earrings.

Hand-drawn cherries and pussies appeared on skintight tees and intimates with a quietly sinister edge, echoing the tension between sweetness and unease that made this bedroom story linger.
