LONDON — Stone Island is taking over The Corner Shop at Selfridges from Sept. 21 — and it’s going big.
The cult Italian sportswear brand owned by Moncler is putting the focus on community, and specifically Stone Island collectors from around the world, who will be selling personally curated vintage pieces in the Selfridges concept space.
The takeover, which will run until Nov. 6, is called “Selected Works ‘982—’026, Stone Island: The Collector Series.”
It is the brand’s first, formal collaboration with collectors “who have helped preserve, interpret and shape the culture of the brand over four decades.” The company said it wanted to give collectors the chance to “present their own research, archives and perspectives on the brand.”
Arco Maher, Better Gift Shop, ‘bout, 194 Local, Louis Holsgrove, Metallic Curtain, Pezze and SimJae are among the collectors taking part, with the project meant to reveal the different histories, geographies and individual approaches that have shaped Stone Island collecting.

Each collector will move into the shop for a week and present their own perspective on the Stone Island archive.
Throughout the six-week installation, the collector archives will be presented “in dialogue” with pieces from the brand’s fall 2026 collection and a series of products exclusive to Selfridges. Select garments from Stone Island’s own archive will also be available for sale, with their provenance and individual histories highlighted as part of the presentation.
Stone Island chief executive officer and president Robert Triefus said the brand “has never existed only through the garments we create. Its culture has also been shaped by the people who discover, wear, preserve and reinterpret them.”
He said The Collector Series “brings those voices to the forefront, offering a unique perspective on the brand through the experiences and personal histories of collectors around the world. We are grateful to Selfridges for providing the setting for this dialogue, and helping bring this project to life.”
The Corner Shop interiors have been designed by Willo Perron as an “evolving spatial system” that draws on the brand’s legacy of material experimentation and engineered performance. Soft structures and modular components will form a “flexible architecture” that will be reconfigured throughout the takeover, in tune with the weekly rotation of collectors and clothing.

Vintage highlights to be featured include a reflective jacket from spring 1993; the Monofilament Camo from fall 2001, and the fall 1989 Ice Jacket Thermosensitive Fabric. The pieces are meant “to trace the evolution of Stone Island’s material science” and mark key breakthroughs in garment-making technologies.
The three pieces available exclusively at Selfridges are a hand-treated leather organza burnt orange parka; a reflective treatment denim research jumpsuit, and the “panno speciale” stand collar jacket.
Bosse Myhr, director of buying at Selfridges, said the store was “excited to bring Stone Island’s unique archive collection to The Corner Shop. For us, it is also about bringing our customers even closer to the world of Stone Island, and strengthening the sense of community around the brand. It celebrates what makes Stone Island so culturally significant, while looking firmly to what comes next.”
The takeover will coincide with the worldwide launch of Stone Island No Seasons, which is based on an original project by Massimo Osti introduced in 1989 and produced until 1994. The collection centers on a single outerwear silhouette realized in six distinctive fabrics, each of which is garment-dyed in dark gray.
Stone Island is planning other events to support The Corner Shop takeover.
It will be screening “Passport,” a film directed by Glenn Kitson at the Selfridges cinema on Sept. 23. The film focuses on eight Stone Island archivists, showing how they have engaged with the brand in each of their cities globally.
The brand will also unveil the fourth edition of Studio One, a sonic performance presented by Stone Island Sound at The Old Selfridges Hotel. The brand will host a program featuring more than 20 musicians who will perform in a multitude of genres.
At the end of the month, Stone Island designers Paul Harvey and Aitor Throup will join the brand’s longtime former owner, Carlo Rivetti, to discuss the past, present, and future of Stone Island and its design ethos and philosophy.
Stone Island will also have a presence at Frieze London in October as a supporter of Frieze Focus, which showcases young international galleries and emerging artists.
