WINNING STREAK: Thai actor and singer Phuwin Tangsakyuen, known by his fans as simply Phuwin, is Loewe‘s newest brand ambassador.
Now 23, he made his television debut at 11 in the drama “Sunshine My Friend,” and branched out into music in 2024 by releasing his first single, “To You,” under Riser Music.
“What struck us about Phuwin is how naturally he moves between mediums,” Loewe’s creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez said in a joint statement shared first with WWD.
“Acting and music — all of it comes from the same place of genuine engagement,” they added. “That’s something we try to bring to our own creative process — and it means something to feel that same echo in the people who inspire us.”
For his part, Phuwin said he admires Loewe for its dedication to craft.
“In a fashion world that moves so quickly, they still choose to make things by hand, balancing history with a modern perspective,” he said. “You can feel how much care and time the artisans put into every piece, and that inspires me to work that much harder at my own craft.”
Signed with GMMTV for nearly 10 years, Phuwin has gained a following across Asia through hit series like “Me and Three,” “Boys’ Love” and “Never Let Me Go.”
In a release, Loewe lauded Phuwin’s “curiosity with no ceiling. Trained as an engineer, he has since moved through acting, singing and songwriting, treating each as fresh creative terrain.”
Last April, Phuwin appeared in a Loewe campaign based on Songkran, the Thai New Year’s celebration that has been likened to a nationwide water fight, though its rituals are meant to symbolize cleansing, reverence and good fortune.
