Tiffany Haddish, Julia Garner, Florence Pugh and more stars brought the metallic shoe craze to the 78th Emmy Awards. While satin heels were a big shoe trend, other stars matched their gowns with gold or silver metallic shoes for the red carpet on TV’s biggest night at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

All eyes were on Haddish, who was wearing a lime-green, chartreuse caped draped gown by Marmar Halim. The dress featured a one-shoulder, halter neckline detail with an attached, flowing dramatic cape. Chartreuse might be a tough color to match with, but the comedian solved that issue by pairing it with a pair of versatile metallic gold sandals.
The minimalist design is easy to coordinate with a variety of colors and dress styles, and her pair included two dainty toe straps, a slingback strap, a round toe and a stiletto heel.

Julia Garner channeled Old Hollywood glamour with a floor-length, backless, shimmering silver gown with a high draped halter neckline and a side slit. The silver gown paired well with her platinum pixie haircut and a modern pair of platform metallic silver sandals.
She kept the look youthful and edgy with the Betzabe Alessandra heeled platform sandal silhouette, which featured a metallic leather body, a rounded open toe, a platform pitch measuring 100 mm and a towering sculptural heel with a wide round base. The shoes retail for $1,095.

Florence Pugh hit the red carpet in a jaw-dropping Vivienne Westwood Custom Dress and Aquazzura Cupid Platform Sandals. The dress was made with sheer, shimmering lilac fabric, soft draping, an off-the-shoulder neckline, dramatic sheer voluminous sleeves and a matching train.
She paired the custom lilac sequin and tulle gown with the Cupid sandals. The Aquazzura style is made from a metallic gold and features a sturdy platform and sky-high heel with delicate ankle straps. The open-toe style is finished with a refined knot motif at the tip of the foot.

Ayo Edebiri also strapped her feet into some Aquazzura heels. “The Bear” star opted for the Aquazzura So Nude Sandal in a metallic silver. The So Nude style features a high stiletto heel, an almost-naked effect that is eye-grabbing, thanks to its mirrored leather-effect finish in silver. They’re set on 105 mm stiletto heels and finished with foot-framing slingback straps. The shoes retail for $850.
She paired the minimalist shoe design with a blue and red Chanel custom gown, with the silver on the shoe allowing the dress to be the focal point of the look, while the cropped hems also allowed the shoes to shine.

Sara Foster went for a light pink iridescent chiffon draped gown with a matching scarf detail by Monique Lhuillier. The dress featured a strapless silhouette, pleated bustier bodice with a high thigh-high slit, accent butterfly or crystal brooches and an attached scarf/drape detail.
She paired the dress with a fun shoe design, opting for the Gianvito Rossi Shiva metallic silver ankle-strap platform sandal with a translucent purple platform sole. The shoes featured a round open toe and a pin-thin stiletto heel.

In Megan Stalter‘s case, no other shoe would’ve made sense for her look more than a metallic gold sandal. The “Hacks” star walked the red carpet dressed as an Emmy statuette, painting herself head-to-toe in gold paint. She wore a metallic gold two-piece bra and briefs set with a chunky belt, matching gold heels, and large golden angel wings.
She posed holding an atom sphere above her head, mimicking the design of the actual Emmy trophy. On her feet, she opted for a block-heeled, square-toed sandal with an ankle strap and a wide toe strap.
