Quiet afternoon for Jayden Reed

Green Bay Packers WR Jayden Reed caught three of seven targeted passes for 20 yards during the team’s Week 1 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.

Why It Matters: Reed was the odd man out on Sunday as fellow wideouts Christian Watson and Matthew Golden combined for 12 catches, 242 yards, and two touchdowns. It wasn’t for lack of trying, though, as Reed’s seven targets trailed Watson by just one. Despite a game that saw Jordan Love complete four passes of 30 yards or more, Reed finished with a long reception of just seven yards. It’s a long season, and you don’t want to overreact to Week 1, but it does feel like Reed is the fourth option in the passing attack behind Watson, Golden, and Tucker Kraft. You should still carry Reed on your roster, but you might want to keep him on your bench for the time being.
