WWE SmackDown live results (Sept. 11): Updates, grades for tonight’s CM Punk vs. Sami Zayn title rematch

“WWE SmackDown” is in Mexico City on this Friday, Sept. 11, headlined by a CM Punk vs. Sami Zayn world title rematch. Three additional title matches are set to unfold on a stacked show, which kicks off the company’s South America tour. Follow tonight’s “WWE SmackDown” live results and play-by-play of the action here.

Zayn has been on a rampage since his title loss to Punk in July. After falling short in his subsequent No. 1 contender match at SummerSlam, Zayn has ruined Punk’s most recent title defense against Kevin Owens and a subsequent No. 1 contenders match. The frustration boiled over for Punk last week, leading to tonight’s rematch.

Also on the show, Chelsea Green has been cleared to compete and will make her first title defense since winning the Interim Women’s Championship at SummerSlam. Standing in her way will be former champ Nia Jax, who was effectively robbed of being in the interim title ladder match.

Another rematch goes down with AAA Tag Team Champions The War Raiders taking on Damian Priest & R-Truth, while Rey Fenix puts his AAA Cruiserweight Title on the line against Ricky Saints after falling short in WWE’s luchador title shot tournament.
