The San Francisco 49ers got on the board first, but the Los Angeles Rams got in the end zone first in the NFL’s first-ever game in Australia. Rams running back Kyren Williams scored a five-yard rushing touchdown set up by a 41-yard reception from receiver Puka Nacua.

The touchdown gave Los Angeles a 7-3 lead, and on the ensuing drive from the 49ers, quarterback Brock Purdy threw a pick to safety Quentin Lake in the first turnover of the game to give the ball back to the Rams.

Los Angeles was not able to capitalize on the turnover as Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford threw a pick on their next drive to cornerback Renardo Green, giving San Francisco the ball back with over half of the second quarter left.
