KSCERATO on FURIA’s Major heartbreak, FalleN’s influence and chasing his dream

FURIA’s Kaike ‘KSCERATO’ Cerato is still trying to achieve his goal of becoming a Counter-Strike Major champion, and as the Brazilian squad is pushing closer to that, he’s reflected on working with FalleN, nurturing Molodoy, and how the SUPERSTRIKE mouse is raising his own game.

While it might feel like only yesterday to some, KSCERATO is close to celebrating ten years as a key part of FURIA’s squad. The Brazilian rifler has had plenty of ups and downs along the way – it’s only natural – but having Major glory slip away at the 2026 Cologne Major is another learning moment.

“I felt very fulfilled to have played in a Major final for the first time. The feeling is different; your heartbeat is different, everything feels different. It was an incredible experience,” he told Dexerto during a recent catch-up ahead of FISSURE Playground 3.

“I hope to play in more finals in the future and, one day, fulfill my dream of becoming a champion.”

Working with FalleN and developing young talent

There are plenty of teaching moments with FURIA’s current roster too, especially as the squad sits under the learning tree of Counter-Strike legend Gabriel ‘FalleN’ Toledo.

“FalleN is a great teacher in every aspect of his life, whether it’s CS or his personal life,” KSCERATO said of the two-time Major champion. “The way he handles situations, the way he reflects on everything that was discussed during practice, and his desire to win — that’s why he is considered one of the greatest players in history.”

That includes harnessing the skills of 21-year-old Danil ‘molodoy’ Golubenko, as KSCERATO praised the Kazakh star’s “aggression and confidence” in CS2.

Sitting as HLTV’s third-best team, there is plenty of pressure on FURIA now to deliver and consistently reach finals, not just be the team that falls short and takes moral victories home with them.

“Obviously, we always want to win every tournament we compete in, but reaching the final of a Tier 1 tournament is extremely difficult, and that shouldn’t be considered disappointing,” said the Brazilian about their status as tournament favorites for FISSURE Playground 3.

“Even though we are considered the favorites to win this tournament, there are also teams that have been showing great performances in previous tournaments.”

So, how is the 26-year-old improving his own game? He’s gotten used to Logitech G’s SUPERSTRIKE mouse, with it becoming “essential” to his in-game performance.

“It gives me confidence when going for sprays and taps, and the in-game sensitivity feels the way I like it. I know that with it, I can secure kills that would otherwise be difficult,” he continued.

“The technologies it has also help me perform above my normal level. For example, when I’m using Dual Berettas, the Rapid Trigger and Actuation Point help me shoot fast enough to get a multi-kill.”

He was able to test the new mouse almost a year before it launched, calling it a “unique experience” that KSCERATO never thought he’d have.

“Being part of the Designed with Pros program was a dream come true, something I never imagined I would have the opportunity to experience,” the FURIA star added.

Whether or not FURIA takes that next leap to secure glory at FISSURE Playground 3 still remains to be seen, but KSCERATO still wants Valve to tweak some things.

He would “like to see a different weapon added” so that the meta is shaken up a little bit, especially giving the T side another pistol round option.

“The map I would remove is Anubis. I don’t hate the map, but I believe it’s completely unnecessary to have it in the pool,” he added.
