MILAN — Leading international digital and influencer marketing agency One Group has expanded its portfolio of services through the acquisition of Italia Eventi, a company active in event organization for luxury and lifestyle brands.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed but the move reflects One Group’s ambition to consolidate its top position in the luxury and high-end influence market.
As part of the acquisition, Italia Eventi is undergoing a strategic rebranding as No Border.
Founded in Rome in the 1980s by Fulvio Valente, the firm is now helmed by his sons Mirko and Federico. Over the past 40 years, it has organized events for clients ranging from Kering and LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton to EssilorLuxottica and Campari Group.
“Live experience has always been the missing link in integrated luxury marketing. Brands invest heavily in content and influence, yet lose coherence the moment an event unfolds, precisely because the production partner sits apart from the wider strategy,” said Matteo Baldi, chief executive officer Europe of One Group. “Bringing No Border into One Group closes that gap. For the first time, we can conceive a campaign in which influencer strategy, content production and the live moment are designed in concert, from Day One, by a single team,” he said.
One Group, formerly known as Ykone Group, was formed last January through the merger of the latter with Mirror Mirror, a creative production company founded in 2019 by Juliette Lambert and Valentine Suc.
The group has been on an acquisition spree over the past few years, nabbing control and minority stakes in several fellow firms.
In October last year it acquired a 25 percent stake in Atlas Agency, Switzerland’s key player in premium talent management, which followed the acquisition of a majority stake in The Digital Prototype, or TDP, a Paris-based specialist in talent management, influencer marketing and content creation
Previous deals included Ykone’s acquisition of a 70 percent stake in Indian firm Barcode last year; a 51 percent interest in Milan-based digital communication agency MB New Media Agency, established by Baldi and operating the Bold Management talent firm headed by Enrico De Finis, in 2021, and of German agency Cover Communications, helmed by Anne Höweler, a year later.
By welcoming onboard Italia Eventi, the group evolves into a $200-million company operating across 14 countries and 21 cities.
One Group plans to scale No Border’s international footprints beyond Milan and Rome, where it currently operates outposts, by leveraging the group’s global presence.
“Premium event production at the international level demands more than operational excellence: it requires strategic alignment with brand objectives. One Group’s integrated platform affords us access to data, talent networks and creative capabilities our clients have long sought,” said Mirko Valente, who serves as No Border’s CEO.
“With One Group, we can now integrate live experience, digital strategy and data to offer brands a more comprehensive and coherent proposition. No Border embodies the market’s new direction,” added his brother Federico Valente, the firm’s creative director.
