Toss UAE chose to bowl vs Bangladesh
UAE captain Esha Oza won the toss and elected to bowl against Bangladesh in a must-win contest in the Women’s Asia Cup in Dubai. Both teams have won a match apiece in Group B, and the winner on Tuesday will meet India in the semi-finals.
UAE made one change to the XI that beat Indonesia, with right-arm seamer Indhuja Nandakumar replacing legspinner Vaishnave Mahesh.
Bangladesh, who batted first in both their previous matches in this tournament, made two changes to the side that lost to Sri Lanka. Ritu Moni and Farjana Easmin made way for Rabeya Khan and Sharmin Akhter.
The surface is expected to be slow and low, with the average first-innings total in Dubai in this Women’s Asia Cup being 119.
The only completed T20I between these two teams came in the 2018 Women’s T20 Qualifier, with Bangladesh bowling UAE out for 39 and sealing the chase inside seven overs. Fahima Khatun also took a hat-trick on the day.
