Bryan Mbeumo has found the opener for Manchester United in their clash against Everton this afternoon.

The Red Devils lead 1-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium thanks to Mbeumo, who’s notched his second goal of the season.

Last week, the Cameroonian opened his account for 2026/2027 when netting United’s fifth against Ipswich Town at Old Trafford.

He’s now put United on their way to securing back-to-back Premier League wins, though there is still half an hour to play on Merseyside.

Reacting to the breakthrough, Samuel Luckhurst said on X/Twitter: “Urgency, pace and probing from Mbeumo. Everything MUFC needed. Excellent goal.”

Michael Carrick trusted the same XI that overturned the Tractor Boys, again opting to leave Benjamin Sesko on the bench.

Mason Mount has also made the squad for the first time this term after sustaining an injury in pre-season, while Matthijs de Ligt remains unavailable, which has been the case since November 2025.

United will kick off their Champions League campaign this coming week when they host Sabah in M16 on Thursday, September 10.

Just three days later, Carrick’s men will be navigating their first Manchester derby instalment at home to Enzo Maresca’s Manchester City.
