Crocs‘ latest campaign star Mckenna Grace, who’s currently filming the Netflix series “Scooby-Doo: Origins,” has been channeling Daphne Blake through the amateur sleuth’s signature color palette: The 20-year-old actress is all about purple at the moment, right down to her Crocs.

The Gen Z star’s method dressing reached its purple peak on a recent night when she went to get ice cream with her castmates, she told FN — it was laundry day, so her only options were an oversize purple Scooby-Doo sweater, purple jeans, purple socks, purple Crocs covered in Jibbitz with “Jeepers” written across the toes, and, naturally, a purple purse.

Grace said, “I showed up, and I was like, ‘You guys can’t laugh at me.’ And they were like, ‘I feel like this isn’t too off-kilter of what you usually wear, though.’”

When she isn’t in high heels for awards shows, Grace heads to set in Crocs — she’s been wearing her purple pair every day to work lately. They’re the perfect style when she’s heading into unknown weather or terrain and has to immediately get into costume upon arrival, she explained. But Grace’s love of Crocs goes back to childhood, when she loved running around barefoot and the brand offered a close second to that feeling of freedom — plus she liked showcasing her personality with Jibbitz.

Grace’s Crocs campaign centers on the everyday moments of cozy season, spotlighting the brand’s Unfurgettable clogs, which launched last year with the help of another Gen Z actress, Millie Bobby Brown. Eschewing the classic perforated upper, the styles modeled by Grace include the Unfurgettable Vegan Suede and Vegan Suede Quilted clogs, which are lined with faux fur but can still be decorated with Jibbitz along the backstrap.

After a high fashion event like the Oscars — she attended for the first time this year in custom Vera Wang — or the 2026 WWD Style Awards where she wore Chanel, Grace is ready to switch into her patterned pajamas and cozy slip-on shoes: “As much as I love wearing heels and feeling fancy and running around and feeling all glammed up, I really wait for being cozy. Whenever I’m on the way to the event, I’ll be wearing my Crocs or something because I am not going to be sitting in those shoes all day and night.”

Speaking of uncomfortable shoes, Grace also plays Maysilee Donner in the upcoming film “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping,” which focuses on the 50th Hunger Games — and let’s just say the tributes in the arena could’ve benefited from a pair of Crocs.

“Whatever President Snow was putting us in in the game, those were some uncomfortable boots,” Grace said. “I was always glad to get home and change out of those, but the costumes definitely put me in [character] because what we were wearing for the Games was quite uncomfortable. So it felt like something President Snow would do.”

She’s a longtime fan of both “The Hunger Games” and “Scooby-Doo” franchises, with plenty of photos from her past where she dressing up as Daphne. Of the costumes for the latter project, she said, “I can’t say too much about the wardrobe or what I’m exactly wearing, but it is crazy to see myself looking like Daphne.”

When she isn’t in costume as a teenage sleuth or a District 12 tribute, Grace loves to wear a thrifted grandpa sweater with Crocs, her two fall essentials. The actress shed a little light on her personal style journey.

“My style has changed a lot. I had a really big life-changing surgery on my back a few years ago that changed the way I stand and the way that my body looks in clothes, so I feel like my style is kind of ever-evolving,” Grace said.

“Lately, I really enjoy being girly and feminine, and getting to wear skirts and dresses. When I was a kid, I just wanted to be a tomboy. I didn’t want anything to do with being girly and feminine because I didn’t want anybody to see me as weak or lesser than. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve come to realize that — it also doesn’t matter what other people think of me — but just because I’m feminine doesn’t make me weak.”

Grace has also been embracing her femininity through her identity as a singer-songwriter, bringing that energy to her exploration of heavier genres, including metal and rock. “I don’t see that a ton in that genre of music,” she said.

“Again, I’m playing around with those girlier themes because I spent so much of my life trying to not take up too much space or let people view me as less than or not mature or super girly because I thought that it would make me weak. So now I’m just taking ownership in that space of my life and playing around with it, because I think that being girly is so fun.”
