Emma Roberts Embraces the Two-tone Shoe Trend at U.S. Open

Emma Roberts brought a Ferragamo resort 2027 look to the U.S. Open Tennis Championships in Queens, N.Y., on Sunday — and the luxury look was grounded by one of the biggest footwear trends in fashion: two-tone shoes.

Roberts wore a full look hailing from Ferragamo‘s latest resort collection, including a summery slipdress marrying different patterns and materials, and a pair of sleek pumps. The black-and-white tones present in the multicolored dress were picked up by the shoes — Roberts modeled the Italian brand’s Bicolor pump in mascarpone and black.

The brand describes the style on its website, in part, “Inspired by the sass of the speakeasy, brought to life with a contemporary edge: the new two-tone stiletto by Ferragamo.” The pump, elevated by a 9cm stiletto heel, features a low-cut vamp with a V-shaped outline emphasized by a contrasting black trim. The toe has a slightly squared tip for a modern touch.

Meanwhile, Roberts’ dress featured a black-and-white polka dot bust contrasted by colorful stripes evoking a coastal energy, and a section of plain cream-colored silky fabric. Keeping the beachy vibe going, she carried the Ferragamo Cara bag in the seaglass hue and added square black sunglasses.

Popularized by Chanel and its iconic cap-toe slingback, two-toned shoes have received a boost from a range of brands and celebrities lately. Matthieu Blazy is reinventing Chanel’s classic look with various silhouettes, while Jimmy Choo, Aquazzura and Steve Madden are some of the brands offering their own takes on the contrasting-color shoe.
