Kim Kardashian returned to one of her go-to formal shoe silhouettes for This Is About Humanity’s 8th Annual Soiree in Hollywood on Aug. 29, wearing what appear to be vintage Manolo Blahnik Prisca lace-up sandals.

Her skirt concealed much of the taupe heels, leaving their angular open toes and slim front straps on display. The leather straps are designed to crisscross up the legs, much like a gladiator sandal, stopping just below the knees, while 3- to 4-inch stiletto heels complete the silhouette.

Kardashian has worn the silhouette for previous formal occasions, in shades of yellow and metallic black. The open-toe shape is a familiar one for summer shoes, save for the leg-length laces, which provide the drama. Manolo Blahnik’s lace-up style is also available in metallic gold and silver, along with other color-blocked iterations.

Kardashian paired her vintage footwear with a cream-colored Maison Margiela mirrored knit, worn off the shoulders and partly undone to reveal her vintage black bullet bra beneath.

The “All’s Fair” star also wore a Faycal Amor satin lace maxiskirt featuring metallic gold fabric layered over a sheer taupe lining that matched her footwear. The skirt featured lacing across the waist, further mirroring the lace-up detail of her Manolos. The skirt’s sheer paneling also allowed her sandals to slightly peek through, despite the skirt’s length.

The 400-person gathering also drew Wilmer Valderrama, who was being honored for the evening, Henry Winkler, Katharine McPhee Foster, Annie Gonzalez and Constance Marie, among others. The event was held to raise money and spread awareness about separated and reunified families and children at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Kardashian’s history with Manolo Blahnik spans errands and formal events alike.
