Me+Em to Open Pop-up in Geneva, Its First Store in Continental Europe

GLOBE TROTTING: Me+Em is expanding into Continental Europe with a pop-up store at the Bongénie department store in Geneva, Switzerland. The space spans 947 square feet, and will be open from Sept. 3 until Nov. 21.

Me+Em said the pop-up forms an integral part of its “ambitious omnichannel strategy, and will allow Swiss customers to discover the brand in person.” The curated monthly edits will include tailored separates, autumnal suiting, brushed cashmere knitwear and Me+Em’s holiday season occasion wear.

The Geneva pop-up is the latest retail activation, and follows a Nantucket store that was open for two weeks earlier this year.

The brand, which launched in 2009, is known for its stylish, versatile separates and tailoring. It has 11 stores in the U.K. as well as concessions at Harrods and Selfridges. It also has seven stores across North America.

Me+Em has more openings in the pipeline in the U.S. and in Europe.

Founder and chief executive officer Clare Hornby has been driving the business and design strategies. Her vision has always been to make shopping, and putting an outfit together, as easy as possible for busy women.

Earlier this year, Me+Em launched Suit Lab, which allows customers to put jackets and trousers together in a variety of ways, online and in-store. In an interview, Hornby said she wants women to have at least one suit they can rely on and that makes them feel confident.

Hornby believes the key to the suit is in the shape of the shoulder. “Shoulder ‘science’ is the most important thing,” she said, adding that she sees the suit as the foundation of a capsule wardrobe.

Earlier this year, Me+Em was granted a warrant by Queen Camilla as an official supplier of clothing and accessories to the royal household. Other customers include the Princess of Wales and a host of actors including Phoebe Dynevor, Kate Winslet and Pamela Anderson.

The brand’s backers include Highland Europe, Venrex Investment Management, Oakley Capital and Freston Ventures.

The company’s revenue in fiscal 2025 was up 24 percent to nearly 150 million pounds, driven by the success of its international business. The compound annual growth rate in the three years to 2025 was 46 percent. Me+Em will publish its fiscal 2026 figures on Companies House later this year.
