Two Serie A clubs submitted offers for Rangers winger Djeidi Gassama

AC Monza and Parma Calcio are reported to have made a bid to Rangers in their pursuit of Djeidi Gassama (22), according to French media outlet Foot Mercato.

Offers of €7m have been deemed insufficient by the Scottish club’s board, which is expecting more before agreeing to let the winger – whose contract runs until 2029 – leave. Signed last summer from Sheffield Wednesday for €2.4m, Gassama had already been the subject of a loan offer from AS Monaco in January, but ultimately remained in Glasgow, where the club’s management were counting on him.

Having made 56 appearances for the Gers last season, the Mauritanian international – who has three caps – stood out by scoring nine goals and providing six assists across all competitions.

Having come through the Paris Saint-Germain academy, Gassama never really had the opportunity to prove his worth there and decided to leave France for England, where his spell at Sheffield in the Championship proved successful.
