Media Accreditation for the International Conference on Returning Ukrainian Children, Detained Civilians, and Prisoners of War

August 24, 2026 – The Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, announced that Canada, together with co-organizers Norway and Ukraine, will host Pathways to Peace:  The Second International Conference on Returning Ukrainian Children, Detained Civilians, and Prisoners of War in Toronto, Ontario on September 28-29, 2026.

Media representatives who wish to cover the visit must obtain media accreditation.

The media accreditation process is open to journalists (print, radio, television, news agencies and online media) who are on assignment with a bona fide media organization.

Individuals performing journalistic functions who do not work for a media organization and are unable to provide a letter of assignment will have to provide proof of recent publications under the applicant’s by-line that can be readily found in the public realm and under a bona fide media organization.

More information on Global Affaires Canada’s accreditation policy can be found here: Contact media relations: Global Affairs Canada

Government officials, representatives, or observers will not be accredited as media.

To apply, please complete the form and include all requested documentation. The registration code for media is: MediaSept26

Only applications that include all requested information will be considered.

The application period will close on September 11, 2026, at midnight ET. Once the application process is closed, there will be no further opportunity to apply for accreditation. Please note that accreditation does not guarantee access to all events during the visit.
