The Duskbloods Network Test Session Closed After Disastrous Server Issues

FromSoftware has closed the first network test session for The Duskbloods before it’s even begun.

Scheduled to kick off at 11am BST, all users (as far as we can tell) were stuck at the main menu for the duration, consistently failing to log into the game’s servers. While FromSoftware confirmed it was aware of the issue and endeavoured to resolve it, this unfortunately didn’t happen in time. In a post on social media, the developer’s support team has now confirmed that the first session is now closed.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to those who were waiting for the first The Duskbloods network test due to game server issues. We regret to inform you that today’s session is now closed. We will continue to work on improving the servers and will announce future schedules at a later date.”

That last sentence is admittedly a bit confusing. We’re assuming the scheduled sessions for this weekend are still in place, but who knows. In all likelihood, the remaining sessions will still happen, while FromSoftware will probably add an additional session to make up for this one.

The same thing happened with Elden Ring Nightreign. In a story reported by IGN, the first session of the network test was also plagued by server issues, so FromSoftware confirmed it was considering an additional one.

Hey, this is was these tests are for. It’s disappointing, but it’s better for these things to happen now rather than at launch.
