Anne Hathaway Pops In Vibrant J’amemme Dress At Disney Showcase 2026

Anne Hathaway continued her asymmetrical maternity style streak at Disney Entertainment’s showcase during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event on Aug. 14 in Anaheim, Calif. The event also brought Hathaway back to her days as Mia Thermopolis, Princess of Genovia in the Disney film “The Princess Diaries.”

Taking an alternative styling route, Hathaway layered a J’amemme dress over white tailored slacks that pooled over her shoes. The lightweight designer dress came in a vibrant red hue featuring a halter neckline and vertical pleating. Instead of lying flat, the hem curled and fell like waves around the body, creating a high-low effect.

Once again, Hathaway worked alongside her stylist Erin Walsh on the look from the Ukrainian label. Walsh is responsible for many of the actress’s maternity looks for her “The Odyssey” press junket, including a custom Prada ensemble she wore on July 14. The look featured a Grecian-inspired flowing skirt and skirt a beaded, crystal-embellished bodice.

Sticking to the high-low theme, Walsh styled Hathaway in a colorful custom Prabal Gurung look for the premiere of her new film, “The End of Oak Street.” Like her J’amemme dress, the actress’ Prabal Gurung top, which came in rich shades of blue and red, featured a short front that framed her baby bump, while the back tapered out to the floor, similar to a cape. Hathaway sported baggy dark wash denim and bright red pumps.

Many stars, including Hathaway, have been embracing maternity dressing that shows off their bumps, rather than eclipsing them with boxy silhouettes. Rihanna is a prime example of the shift, repeatedly making her bump a focal point of her looks during her pregnancies.

It isn’t clear yet when “The Princess Diaries 3” will arrive, but during the Disney fan event, Hathaway assured fans that the film was in production. Hathaway previously confirmed that she would return as Mia Thermopolis in a 2024 Instagram post.
