The look may be familiar to anyone who was paying attention to the red carpet looks at the New York premiere of “The Devil Wears Prada 2”. The former professional figure skater previously wore the same all-black ensemble to the premiere, all the way down to her footwear. Lipinski once again paired the dress with a set of Givenchy Boudoir mules, topped with bows.

The mules were open-back and featured square open toes that transitioned into voluminous bows. Thin metal stiletto heels measuring around 3.7 inches were finished with sculptural diamond-shaped tips, offering an edgier contrast to the feminine bow detailing. The Givenchy silhouette also comes in red and a matte black leather, in addition to Lipinski’s glossy black version.
As for her outfit, Lipinski opted for her previously worn Vera Wang dress, a short black number with a high neck and no sleeves. The boxy silhouette featured ruffled accents mixed with closely spaced pleats for added volume and texture. The high neckline was decorated with a large bow that hung low against the bodice, mirroring the detailing from her Givenchy footwear.

While Lipinski opted for a mule silhouette with a bit of feminine flair, the enduring trend of minimalist mules — particularly thong sandals mules with a kitten heel — still seems to be a more popular choice for celebrities, including Hailey Bieber, Selena Gomez and others.
