Bit of a quiet one this week, gang. Half the RPS team are on holiday, ill, or off at some preview event, maybe in a less melty part of the world like Scandinavia, the lucky bastards. Games, however, must be played, and if it happens to be over a weekend, well…

Julian:
This weekend I’m travelling back from seeing a secret thing, but when I get home I’ll be washing up on the shores of my pirate settlement in Corsair Cove. It’s an absorbing city builder but, after five hours, I don’t know how much more there is to see.

Edwin:
This weekend I am playing , which is a solo journalling RPG in which you inherit a wyrd book from a dead relative and try not to be absorbed by it. Beyond that, I am washing my bath towels.

Jeremy:
This weekend I am busting my butt trying to finish guides and a review for a game that is very demanding but very good. I can’t say any more about it, but look out for various amounts of gushing praise next week.

Callum:
Got a buddy visiting this weekend, so I’m not sure I’ll have much time for gaming. But knowing my friend, he will want to do an escape room, which is my personal hell. Not because escape rooms are bad as a concept, but because I am bad at escape rooms, and having a little person watching me on a surveillance feed, chiming in to give clues because I’m so thoroughly shit, is a trial in how much one man can be demoralised in 90 minutes.

James:
