Delta Air Lines is preparing to launch the first-ever nonstop flights between Austin, Texas, and Paris. After weeks of speculation, the legacy carrier officially announced on Thursday that the service will commence in late March 2027.
The news comes on the heels of Delta unveiling new international routes from its key hubs in Los Angeles and Seattle. Its network in Austin has grown domestically in recent years, but the upcoming long-haul route represents a “broader investment in the region,” thanks to its existing partnership with Air France-KLM.
Austin’s First-Ever Flights To Paris Are Set To Begin In Spring 2027
Delta will launch nonstop flights between Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and 
Paris Charles de Gaulle International Airport (CDG) on March 27, 2027. The eastbound flight, DL100 is scheduled to depart from AUS just after 3:00 PM and arrive at CDG the next morning around 8:15 AM. The return journey, DL99, has a scheduled departure time of around 10:00 AM, and is expected to arrive at AUS just before 2:30 PM.

Delta is planning to offer daily frequencies throughout the summer season, utilizing the Airbus A330-900. The aircraft, which is among Delta’s newest widebody aircraft types, has a total capacity of 281 passengers in three classes. 29 lie-flat business class seats are arranged in a 1-2-1 layout comprise Delta One, its most premium class.
Its premium economy product, referred to as Delta Premium Select (DPS), is laid out in a 2-3-2 configuration with a total of 28 seats. The main cabin, in a 2-4-2 layout, has the remaining 224 seats. The 56 Delta Comfort-branded seats, located in the center of the aircraft, have a slightly larger pitch to offer more legroom. Joe Esposito, Delta’s Executive Vice President – Chief Commercial Officer, spoke about the new route on Thursday:
“Austin’s growth continues to create new opportunities for customers, and Delta is proud to grow alongside it. Launching Austin’s first nonstop service to Paris is a defining milestone, but it’s just one part of our broader investment in the region.”
A Long-Haul International Service Supported By Partners
While Delta will become the only US airline to fly nonstop between Austin and Europe, the carrier’s joint venture agreement with Air France-KLM opens up even more options for passengers. The carrier said the new service will provide passengers with “access to nearly 60 destinations” across the continent, in addition to India and Africa. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines already operates nonstop flights between Austin and its hub in Amsterdam.

Amid peak summer next year, Delta, 
Air France and KLM will collectively offer as many as 10 weekly nonstop flights between Austin and Europe. On Air France, passengers can connect at CDG to popular destinations such as Barcelona, Rome, Madrid, Lisbon, Florence, Copenhagen, Geneva, Milan, and Nice.
Travelers can also connect to other scenic destinations in India and Africa, including Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Casablanca, Marrakech, and Algiers. “From expanded domestic flying to strong international connectivity through our partnership with Air France-KLM, we’re making it easier than ever for customers to connect from Central Texas to destinations around the world,” Esposito explained.
Enhancing, Growing & Investing In Austin Even More
Although Austin-Paris will represent a major milestone when it launches, Delta is not holding back in Austin. Just a few weeks after the inaugural flight, on April 12, the Atlanta-based carrier will commence daily nonstop flights between AUS and 
San Diego International Airport (SAN) on its A319 aircraft.
On that same day, Delta will bump frequencies on its existing route between AUS and San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) from one daily flight to two, also operated by the A319. Delta is also planning to adjust its service between AUS and 
Cancún International Airport (CUN) from a winter seasonal to year-round operation in 2027.
The network enhancements are paired with its investment at AUS. The airline now employs over 900 people across Central Texas after recently opening up a base with more than 100 flight attendants. It is planning to introduce a second Delta Sky Club at AUS in conjunction with the airport’s expansion and is aiming to ultimately operate from a total of 15 gates at Concourse A.
