S&P/TSX composite index up in late-morning trading Tuesday, U.S. markets down




TORONTO — Canada’s main stock index was up 100 points in late-morning trading on Tuesday, helped by broad-based gains, while U.S. markets were down.
The S&P/TSX composite index was up 100.88 points at 36,559.21.
