Super Mario Party Jamboree TV Is The Second ‘Switch 2 Edition’ To Break One Million Physical Sales

Nintendo’s latest financials are live along with updated lists of the firm’s best-selling software (as of June 2026), and a familiar face has popped onto the Switch 2 best-seller list.

The laboriously titled Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV has sold 1.15 million copies according to Nintendo’s data – an especially impressive feat when you consider that this only counts the physical NSW2 Edition, not any digital copies.

On the page, Nintendo states that:

*Packaged versions of Nintendo Switch 2 Edition software are included in Nintendo Switch 2 software sales units, and downloadable versions are included in Nintendo Switch software sales units.

Add in the fact — as noted on Bluesky by the venerable Jon Cartwright — that the Switch 2 physical is a whopping $79.99 / £66.99 release, and this breaking into the million-seller list is quite something.

Jamboree TV joins Pokémon Legends Z-A (3.99 million) as the only other Switch 2 Edition on the six-game list so far, with Mario Kart World sitting in the top spot with 15.38 million. Remember, however, that digital sales are included for Mario Kart and the others, including all the codes in those launch-period Switch 2 hardware bundles.

In fact, as of March 2026, Super Mario Party Jamboree on Switch 1 (which launched back in October 2024) had reportedly sold nearly 10 million copies (9.96 million). This being the third Mario Party game for Switch after 2018’s Super Mario Party and 2021’s Mario Party Superstars, it’s safe to say we’ll be seeing a new entry in this series in the next few years.

And with physical sales like this, Nintendo is unlikely to follow Sony in ditching physical media anytime soon.
