House House’s critically acclaimed co-op puzzle-solving game Big Walk has only been out for two days, but one modder is taking it upon themselves to add a new dimension to the gameplay.

Independent solo developer CircuitLord has announced that they are developing a VR mod for Big Walk. A brief demonstration of the mod was posted on social media as proof of concept.

CircuitLord subsequently posted a follow-up video that showed off the progress of the VR mod. In this iteration, the player’s character can pick up objects and interact with them. But CircuitLord notes that it needs some refinement to make “throwing a tad bit less powerful.”

Subsequently, CircuitLord confirmed that the mod will support crossplay with players using the normal version of the game. “You’ll be able to see VR player hand movements and how they’re holding objects and stuff as long as everyone has the mod,” added CircuitLord.

For now, there’s no timetable for CircuitLord to finish and release the mod. In the meantime, House House has announced that it’s working on a mircophone fix to address the issue of some players sounding quieter than the developers intended.

Big Walk hit a critical milestone as the highest-rated title to debut on day one on PlayStation Plus Essential. GameSpot’s sister site Metacritic notes that Big Walk has a 94 score among reviewers. GameSpot’s Big Walk review echoes those high marks calls it one of the best co-op games ever created.
