It’s officially August, which means autumn is finally on the horizon. Okay, I’m getting ahead of myself, but between the lingering grey skies and the occasional drizzle, there’s already a hint of the new season in the air. While most people cling to the last days of summer, as a shopping editor, I can’t help but feel excited for the transitional period. Just at the cusp of where my favourite fashion season begins—lightweight knits, great jackets and fresh denim all start making their return, and I finally feel like myself again.

Thankfully, H&M’s latest new-in drop is very much on the same page. Linen separates are slowly giving way to transitional layers, light-wash denim is making room for richer indigo hues, and accessories are taking on a more elevated feel with suede-effect finishes. Even the dresses are shifting—think sleek satin styles in chocolate brown and olive green, alongside chic denim silhouettes that feel perfect for the months ahead.
