This week’s look at the latest staffing changes on the Hill.
Kiana Pilon is heading back to where her journey in Canadian politics all started.
In a post on LinkedIn, she announced that she’s joining the office of Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand as the digital media manager and senior communications advisor.

Pilon said she got her start in politics when she joined Anand’s constituency office as a communications assistant back in 2023.
“That opportunity opened doors I never imagined and introduced me to mentors, friends, and experiences that have shaped who I am today,” she said.
Prior to joining Anand’s team, Pilon worked briefly as an intern for Liberal colleague Mona Fortier.
She spent around a year and a half working for Anand’s riding office before joining her ministerial team as a communications advisor. At the time, Anand was the transport minister.
During the 2025 vote, Pilon was the deputy campaign manager and director of communications for the Liberal candidate in Hastings–Lennox & Addington–Tyendinaga.
Pilon joined the housing minister’s office in June 2025 as the digital media manager and communications advisor.
In her post, she thanked Housing Minister Gregor Robertson and his team for the “opportunity to be part of an incredible year.”
