Dior Brings the Tuileries to China With Multi-city Pop-ups

Dior has brought a slice of Paris to China with four pop-ups inspired by its Jonathan Anderson-designed 2026 women’s runway show at the Tuileries in Paris, turning busy shopping malls into open-air runway sets.

Dubbed “Parisian Gardens”, the pop-ups appeared in several locations at once — the Southern District of Beijing‘s Sanlitun, the East Plaza of Shenzhen Bay’s MixC shopping mall, as well as MixC malls in Xiamen and Shenyang, both second-tier cities.

The historic Tuileries, first commissioned by Catherine de’ Medici and later redesigned under Louis XIV, has long been seen as an open-air theater celebrating “the art of seeing and being seen,” Dior said in a statement. Now that truly Parisian experience has been translated into a retail one, which will run into the fall.

As if invited to revisit the runway show space, visitors can walk over a pond dotted with water lilies, a reference to the Grand Bassin Octogonal that formed the centerpiece of the runway set in Paris. Around the pond, Dior installed tall trees, French-style flowerbeds and green metal structures echoing the emblematic garden chairs, on which shoppers can sit and people-watch.

In the temporary retail garden — an experience that is supposed to evoke “the real and imaginary,” said Dior — the French luxury maision is showcasing the latest from creative director Jonathan Anderson, including its key leather goods designs such as The Lady Dior, Dior Promenade, Dior Toujours Hobo, and Dior Archie.

The brand is also using the pop-ups to launch a small range of exclusives built around the Dior Heart motif. Items include a dress decorated with the “Dior Heart” motif, a mitzah scarf and a scrunchie covered in a constellation of red hearts, card holders embossed with the outline of blown-up hearts. They are being launched just in time for Qixi Valentine’s Day in August.

On Friday, Dior hosted a celebrity event at its Shenzhen pop-up, featuring brand ambassadors Li Yunrui, Wang Churan, Chinese actress Aimi, and Chinese professional snooker player Wu Zeyi.
