Call me old-fashioned, but I love a timeless, neutral nail trend. I know, I know, maximalist nail art is having a moment, and whilst I can fully appreciate how incredible it looks, nothing makes me feel more polished than a milky nail polish or white French tip. That being said, I’m always open to trying something new (as long as it fits my neutral aesthetic, of course), and when I spotted butter yellow nails on my Instagram feed, it was love at first sight.

Spotted on beauty editors, nail artists and celebs alike (yes, that is a picture of Charlize Theron with a butter yellow manicure), there’s no denying how chic this colour is. However, it seems this summer the trend is being taken one step further. Yes, two of my favourite nail looks have joined forces, and now I can’t stop thinking about the butter yellow French manicure.
