Chanel’s Bruno Pavlovsky Reelected Head of French Fashion Federation


Bruno Pavlovsky has been reelected as president of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode for another four-year period.

The vote took place Friday in Paris at the general assembly of French fashion’s governing body.

At the same gathering, Pascal Morand was confirmed as executive president, a role he has held since 2015.

Myriam Serrano, the chief executive officer of Alaïa, was elected as a new addition to the federation’s executive committee. She joins Pavlovsky, Morand, Saint Laurent CEO Cédric Charbit, Rick Owens CEO Elsa Lanzo, Hermès executive Guillaume de Seynes and Sidney Toledano of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton and Givenchy.

Meanwhile, Serrano and Sarah Benady, CEO of Jacquemus, are new additions to the federation’s board of directors, which includes a wider swath of the Paris fashion firmament.

In addition to Pavlovsky, Morand, Toledano, Charbit, Lanzo and de Seynes are Christian Dior Couture chairman and CEO Delphine Arnault; Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton and chairman and CEO of LVMH Fashion Group; Delphine Bellini, CEO of Maison Schiaparelli; Étienne Bourgois, CEO of Agnès B.; Gianfranco Gianangeli, CEO of Balenciaga; Axel Keller, president of Dries Van Noten; Pierre Mahéo, founder of Officine Generale; Laurent Malecaze, CEO of Chloé; Séverine Merle, CEO of Celine, and Gaetano Scuito, CEO of Maison Margiela.

Members of the executive committee and the board of directors also serve four-year terms.

President of fashion and president of Chanel SAS, Pavlovsky has been a member of the federation’s executive committee for 14 years, and was president of the Chambre Syndicale de la Mode Féminine, the governing body of women’s fashion in France, from 2014 to 2019.

Before joining the federation, Morand was director general of the Institut Français de la Mode, a former dean of business school ESCP Europe, and deputy director general of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Paris region.
