Cyclosporiasis outbreak linked to shredded lettuce served at some Taco Bell locations: Source


The locations were in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia

Recent cases of the intestinal illness cyclosporiasis have been linked to shredded iceberg lettuce served at some Taco Bell locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and West Virginia, according to a source familiar with an investigation by the Food and Drug Administration.

ABC News reached out to Taco Bell Thursday but did not immediately hear back.

On Tuesday, the restaurant provided a statement that said in part, “The health and safety of our guests is our top priority … We will continue to closely monitor the situation and follow the guidance of public health authorities.”
