Prime Video has announced the next season of The Grand Tour will air on September 4. As previously reported, the series is resuming with a new set of hosts. The air date confirmation came via a set of social media posts leaning into their arrival with an apt and admittedly on-brand slogan: “Same show. New knobs.”

The Grand Tour will return with a six-episode series, which will visit a variety of locations, from the Angolan desert, to Malaysia, and also California. Hosting duties will be handled by Thomas Holland and James Engelsman – an existing duo from successful motoring YouTube channel Throttle House – and social media personality Francis Bourgeois. Holland is a motoring journalist who launched Throttle House in 2015, and was joined on the channel by Engelsman a few years later. Francis Bourgeois (whose real name is Luke Nicolson) is a qualified mechanical engineer who briefly worked at Rolls-Royce before leaving to pursue his popular social media profile based on his trainspotting hobby. Former host Jeremy Clarkson made an appearance on The Grand Tour’s social channels in February in a brief skit to reveal the new hosts.

The Grand Tour is Prime Video’s most-watched unscripted UK series, although it’s been off the road since September 2024, following the final episode to feature original hosts Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The trio wrapped up over two decades of TV collaborations between them with a mega trip across Zimbabwe and Botswana.
