French Open champ Alexander Zverev stands in the way of Jannik Sinner claiming a second successive men’s singles title at Wimbledon on Sunday as the two big hitters meet on Centre Court.
Zverev wasn’t fazed by a partisan Centre Court crowd that was cheering on hometown hero Arthur Fery on Friday in his semifinal, with the No. 2 seed ending the British wildcard’s fairytale run with a convincing straight-sets win. The 29-year-old German will now look to add a second Grand Slam title to his collection following his triumph at the French Open last month.
To do so, he’ll have to get past an adversary he has failed to beat in each of their last nine meetings. Sinner looked in no mood to give up his title in his dismantling of seven-time Wimbledon champ Novak Djokovic in his semifinal, with the Italian brushing past the veteran star with a precision 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 victory.
Jannik Sinner vs. Alexander Zverev is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. BST, which is 11 a.m. ET or 8 a.m. PT in the US and Canada, on Sunday, July 12. The match will be held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in southwest London. Here’s how you can watch the match without cable.
Alexander Zverev and Jannik Sinner last faced each other at the Madrid Open back in May, with Sinner easing to a 6-1, 6-2 win.
