Thanks to that, Tiger Woods’ most untouchable record is safe.
Prior to Friday, Scheffler had made 78 consecutive cuts.
Woods holds the PGA Tour record at 142 made cuts in a row.
Did Scottie Scheffler make the cut at the Scottish Open?
Even before action was totally concluded, it was clear Scheffler would be missing the cut.
He shot 2-under on Thursday, but then 2-over on Friday. Even-par was going to keep him well beyond the cut line as golfers all over the course put up solid scores.
Scottie began on the back-9 on Friday and bogeyed his second and third holes. He birdied 15, then bogeyed 17 to go 3-over on the back.

He birdied immediately on the turn to No. 1 to get back in it, but then seven consecutive pars were capped off with a bogey-4 on No. 9 that finalized his status as missing the cut.
He last missed a cut at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship.
New active consecutive cuts leader
The new leader in the category is Matt Fitzpatrick.
He entered the week with 28 consecutive made cuts — and with him contending for the lead at the Scottish Open so far, he’ll keep that streak alive.
