Garry Marr: Ending the foreign buyer ban won’t save housing


“Extending the ban now would be a mistake,” he said. “The reality is that foreign buyers were never the main reason Canadians were priced out of housing. The factors driving the market are much more complex: interest rates, domestic investor activity, immigration growth, construction costs, taxation, policy uncertainty and overall confidence in the market.”
