Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce married in ceremony at MSG

So it’s gonna be forever for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Swift’s publicist, Tree Paine, confirmed that the 14-time Grammy Award winner and three-time Super Bowl champion were married in a lavish ceremony in front of 1,000 guests at Madison Square Garden in New York on Friday evening.

According to the statement, the couple did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, instead opting for Swift’s brother to serve as her man of honor and Kelce’s brother, Jason, to serve as his best man. The ceremony was officiated by the couple’s friend, actor and comedian Adam Sandler.

The marquee outside the iconic arena read “JUST&T MARRIED!” once the ceremony had concluded.

The bride and groom tied the knot in custom looks created by Christian Dior Haute Couture, designed by Jonathan Anderson. They also donned custom shoes made by Christian Louboutin. As for jewelry, the bride wore Cartier.

Despite the sweltering heat and complete lack of visibility into the venue, fans and onlookers gathered outside Madison Square Garden — content to be part of the occasion by proximity — as the ceremony took place.

Earlier Friday, celebrities including Jennifer Lawrence, Camila Cabello, Ed Sheeran, Matthew Stafford, Karlie Kloss, Zoë Kravitz, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Justin Thomas, JuJu Smith-Schuster, Alex Morgan, Julian Edelman, Baker Mayfield, Cooper Kupp, Kareem Hunt and Abby Wambach were spotted leaving hotels in Manhattan.

The inside of the Mecca was reportedly unrecognizable as the banners and arena seating that typically adorn the venue were displaced in favor of extravagant botanical garden decor.

Haters will likely say the whole affair was charming, if a little gauche, while fans will say the spectacle was befitting a couple who holds such esteem in the pop culture stratosphere.

The wedding confirmation comes after months of speculation surrounding the details of the couple’s nuptials — and on the heels of the duo donating $26 million to 20 local and national charities across the U.S. The funds were split across children’s hospitals, food banks and music programs in places with personal ties to the pair, including New York; Kansas City, Missouri; Nashville, Tennessee; and Rhode Island.

Kelce and Swift’s love story has captivated football and music fans alike since July 26, 2023, when the Kansas City tight end first shared the story of his failed friendship bracelet attempt while speaking with his brother, a former Philadelphia Eagles center, on an episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
