NFL top-100 players: Bills’ Josh Allen given top-three status


In little surprise, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is the highest-ranked player on his team that appears on CBS Sports’ ranking of the top-100 in the NFL heading into the 2026 NFL season.

Allen lands in a top-three position, but he rounds out that group at third overall… and he is not behind two QBs.

One ahead of Allen is Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. The player at the top spot is a teammate of Stafford’s after an offseason trade, pass rusher Myles Garrett.

Allen is joined by running back James Cook (No. 38) and offensive lineman Dion Dawkins (No. 78) on CBS Sports’ list.

CBS Sports’ breakdown on Allen at third-overall can be found below:

His numbers weren’t as good as the year before, but he still was one of the best in the league. He carries the Bills on his back. His numbers should go up this year with Joe Brady running things. (Last season: No. 4)
