This month’s roundup perfectly captures my summer fashion formula: I build every outfit around wardrobe basics like jorts and tees, then lean on fun accessories to make it feel on-trend. Whether it’s with a tassel pouch or a pair of wraparound sunglasses, I’ve been letting the finishing touches do the heavy lifting. I’m not sure if this is inspired by the ease of summer or a forecast of sky-high temperatures, but the fashion set is embracing simple outfit formulas this season—and I’m following suit.

SSENSE has the perfect mix of basics and statement accessories. For basics, SSENSE offers staple brands like Flore Flore and Citizens of Humanity. For accessories, you can find every major fashion house (ahem, Prada sunnies), along with new-to-me designers like Ayllón.

Apparently, I’ve been sleeping on Tony Bianco footwear, because I only recently discovered that it has every shoe style on my summer wish list. I’m due for new ballet flats, fancier flip-flops, and wedge sandals for a wedding, and Tony Bianco has every pair. Also, I’m desperate for that blue suede heel.

It’s jorts season, and Levi’s® has some of my favorite pairs. The brand has also been dipping its toes into summery embroidered tops, and the Darling Cutwork Blouse ($75) is too cute to pass on. Style it with any of the denim pieces below and the cute red ballet flats above.
