Compatibility fixes are delivered through firmware updates, not game title updates.
There are so-called “rebootless updates” that are downloaded silently too, for small things like the profanity filter, that likely applies to game compatibility fixes.
Recently, I played the demo for “Marsupilami 2 – Salsa Palombia” on my Switch 2 in handheld boost mode, and there were playback issues with the video splash screens before the title screen.
That issue doesn’t seem to be acknowledged on their site, but it’s pretty minor.
