Nursulton Ruziboev put his grappling mastery on display again at UFC Fight Night 280 when he choked Andrey Pulyaev cold.
Ruziboev (37-9-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) delivered a “flawless performance” in the words of UFC Hall of Famer on Saturday at National Gymnastics Arena in Baku, Azerbaijan. He took the fight to the ground early, got the back then locked in a choke that put Pulyaev (10-5 MMA, 1-3 UFC) unconscious for the technical submission result at the 3:58 mark of Round 1.

With three consecutive victories inside the octagon and momentum on his side, Ruziboev is looking to make big moves in the middleweight division.
“I’m 5-0 in the middleweight division,” Ruziboev told Bisping through an interpreter in his post-fight interview. “I’m ready for anybody. I want people from the rankings. I want people from the top of the rankings.”
