Amazing scenes on Friday as Cape Verde, against all odds, sealed their spot in the round of 32!

The African minnows’ 0-0 draw with Saudi Arabia was enough to nab second in Group H after Uruguay fell to Spain 1-0.

The early kickoffs in Group I saw Ousmane Dembélé net a first-half hat trick to lead France past Norway 4-1 and top the group. Meanwhile, Senegal rocked Iraq to the tune of 5-0, keeping alive their hopes of advancing to the knockout rounds.

The day will end with Group G play, as Mohamed Salah’s Egypt face Iran at the same time as New Zealand vs. Belgium.
