40 Chic and Useful Items a New Yorker Is Buying on Prime Day

I’m not much of an impulse buyer, so even during a huge sale like Amazon Prime Day which has kicked off from now through June 26, I’m still an incredibly picky shopper. I’d rather stock up on great wardrobe staples I know I’ll wear over and over again—and save myself the headache of having to make any returns. I think it’s the New Yorker in me—my closet space is minimal but my step count is high which means that I only care about items that are versatile and functional, but of course, chic.

With all the deals to be had across the site right now, I’m loading up my cart with only the most tried-and-true basics from premium brands like Levi’s, Madewell, and Ray-Ban and restocking a few favorites I already love and wear often like my Madewell Longline Jeans (the perfect slim ’90s fit), the Hanes Cotton Tanks I buy in bulk each summer, and the Beyond Yoga workout tank I would love to own in every color.
