The latest staffing changes in the GR and PR worlds.
Brian Klunder has been promoted to partner at Temple Scott Associates.
In a statement shared on LinkedIn, Klunder and the firm both announced the promotion, with Klunder saying he’s “so excited to step into this new role and continue growing our amazing firm.”
The firm highlighted that “Brian’s admission to the partnership reflects more than 30 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, and strategic advisory work, as well as years of trusted leadership within TSA.”
“At TSA, Brian provides strategic counsel to clients across a wide range of policy areas, including infrastructure, financial services, transportation, innovation, and culture,” the firm report.
Klunder has been with TSA since 2018. Prior to that, he was the director of public affairs for the CPP Investment Board.
Earnscliffe has named Janine Allen as its COO.
In a post made on LinkedIn, the firm said “Janine has played a pivotal role in Earnscliffe’s success through her leadership in client delivery, business development, team management and operational excellence.”
“In her new role, she will help drive the firm’s continued growth by guiding operations, processes and systems, and strengthening collaboration across the organization,” Earnscliffe wrote.
Janine has been with Earnscliffe for the last 11 years, starting out as a vice president in 2015, rising through the firm until her most recent post as president of public relations from April 2024 to June 2026. In her own statement, Janine expressed her gratitude for the position.
“When the people around you are this talented, this driven and committed to excellence, you just try to get out of their way and help keep the path ahead clear. I hope to do exactly that.”
Kate Harper is joining Crestview Strategy as a consultant.
In a post shared on LinkedIn, Crestview announced the hiring of Harper, highlighting that “she provides critical insight on federal and provincial politics, informed by time spent working on Parliament Hill, at the Alberta Legislature, and on national campaigns.”
“Drawing on her experience inside political operations at both the federal and provincial levels, Kate helps clients understand how decisions get made, anticipate political risk, and engage effectively with government.”
Before joining Crestview, Harper worked for the leader of the federal Conservative party, starting as an event planner for the leader’s tour in the 2021 national campaign, and then again for the 2025 campaign but as the deputy director. In the intervening years, she remained in the office of the leader of the opposition as an event and tour planner.
