Julia Roberts is no stranger to movies based on books –– ‘Eat Pray Love’ and ‘The Pelican Brief’ are just two examples.
Deadline reports that she’s back on the novel-to-screen beat with a new project called ‘Home Economics’, which will adapt a forthcoming book from writer Katy Hays.

Roberts will also co-produce the movie alongside ‘Wicked’s Marc Platt, and Sony’s 3000 Pictures label is aboard to finance it.

What’s the story of ‘Home Economics’?

That’s the tricky part here. While we know that novelist Hays, who has form with thrillers including ‘The Cloisters’ and ‘Saltwater’ is writing the script herself, the new book is strictly under wraps for now, with the producers nabbing it before it hits shelves.
So we can only guess that it might have thriller elements, but we’ll have to wait and see as the movie develops.
Where else can we see Julia Roberts?
Roberts was most recently on our screen in ‘After the Hunt.’ She’ll be back for cyberterrorist thriller ‘Panic Carefully’ (due February next year) and has been mentioned by George Clooney as among those returning for heist sequel (fourquel?) ‘Ocean’s 14’.
