“Africa Day is an opportunity to recognize Canada-Africa cooperation on shared priorities, including trade and investment, peace and security, sustainable development, climate resilience and people-to-people ties.
“Canada’s Africa Strategy guides Canada’s efforts to advance diplomatic, trade, development and security partnerships across the continent, including with the African Union.
“Africa is an increasingly important global partner and Canada is committed to expanding mutually beneficial trade and investment relationships in areas such as critical minerals, clean energy, digital innovation, education and agriculture.
“Canada recognizes the important contributions of African diaspora communities across the country to strengthening people-to-people relations and economic ties with countries across Africa.
“On Africa Day, Canada reaffirms its commitment to deepening partnerships across Africa and building a more prosperous, secure and inclusive future together.”
