Ireland Must Address Economic Vulnerabilities, IMF Warns


“On broadening the tax base, I think progress has been relatively limited on that front. Ireland’s concentration of tax revenue has increased,” Yan Sun, assistant director at the IMF, told reporters in Dublin Monday. “If you broaden the tax base to have more sustainable revenue sources, Ireland could probably put more of the windfall revenue into the savings fund.”
