Bruno Mars’ concert in Toronto on Saturday night has been cancelled, according to Rogers Stadium.
The event has been rescheduled to May 31 due to “inclement weather,” said a social media post by the North York-based venue.
The show is the first in a series of five performances taking place at Rogers Stadium. The other concerts are scheduled for Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday and next Saturday.
“The safety of our guests, artists, crew and staff remains our top priority,” read the post.
Concert-goers on Saturday will have their already purchased tickets honoured for the new date.
The venue says more information will be shared directly with ticketholders through the Rogers Stadium app and on Ticketmaster.
Environment Canada issued a special weather statement Saturday morning for forecasts of heavy rain throughout the Greater Toronto Area. It said up to 50 millimetres of precipitation is expected on Saturday.
