As far as I know, Nancy Meyers has never actually made a movie set in Provence, but I think it’s high time she changed that. With its lavender fields and charming limestone villages, this region in southeastern France would be the perfect backdrop for the director’s signature aesthetic involving striped sweaters, linen slipcovers, and soothing neutrals.

I haven’t been to Provence in a few years, but I frequently look back at my camera roll and marvel over the picturesque hilltop towns of Gordes, Lourmarin, and Bonnieux in the Luberon area, and my seaside stay in Cassis. Not that anyone asked, but if you’re curious for some first-person recommendations, I wrote about my favorite Provence spots a while back. Even though I don’t have a trip to France planned, I’ve decided that my summer style north star is an imaginary Nancy Meyers movie set at the most charming Provençal farmhouse you’ve ever seen in your life.
